Meet the Authors

Brian Sullivan and Christine Sullivan are a brother-sister team of writers, creators, and animal lovers.

BRIAN SULLIVAN

Brian started drawing as soon as he could open a box of crayons. In school when math tests proved too confusing, he would simply draw pictures in the margins of the test, sometimes resulting in a passing grade on the test! Over the years, various career paths ensued, but he never lost sight of his art…his fashion illustrations appeared in publications like Vogue and Mirabella. He developed a cartoon character named “Gigi” that drew wide-spread acclaim. But it all finally came together when he decided to collaborate with his sister, marrying his love of illustrating with his love of animals. The result? Russell T. and the Pet Rescuers…where kids will learn the responsibility we have to all animals and they will learn these responsibilities through exciting adventures!

CHRISTINE SULLIVAN

Christine loved every kind of animal from the very beginning, from the stuffed ones on her bed, to the kitties who followed her home from school and the wild animals who live in the zoo. Her life led her down a successful business path of an MBA and many years of marketing, sponsorship deal-making and creative writing. But, deep down, she knew she would be happiest working in some way with animals and rescue. So she went to her brother to begin working on a book series that would help kids all over the world grow to love and protect animals. It is her hope that kids everywhere will fall in love with the characters and exciting tales of Russell T. and the Pet Rescuers and become animal-lovers for life!

We owe this to our Mom

Our beloved and extraordinary Mom, Jean Sullivan, first had the idea of Russell T. and the Pet Rescuers. It was her heart and imagination that started it all. The fire hydrant entrance to our headquarters was also hers! It is in her honor and memory that we go forward to build the world of rescue through Russell T. and the Pet Rescuers!
